Cops are looking to collar a bogus car buyer who took the seller for a twisted spin in Brooklyn, police said.
The wild Sept. 17 incident left the victim with multiple broken bones, according to the NYPD.
The episode unfolded at about 8:20 p.m. when a 20-year-old man met the suspect at 1208 83rd Street to sell him a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, police said. The suspect test-drove the Cherokee to 8521 7th Avenue, where he began to inspect the car, cops said.
During the inspection, the individual sat behind the wheel and drove off. The victim, whose name was not released, held onto the passenger door and “was dragged a short a distance before he lost his grip,” police said. The suspect fled northbound on 7th Avenue in the stolen vehicle.
The victim was left with a fractured pelvis and broken legs. He was in serious but stable condition at Maimonides Medical Center, police said.
The suspect is a man, 20 to 25 years old, 5’11,” 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweater, gray pants and white sneakers.
