An automotive repair shop in San Luis Obispo is offering free oil changes to healthcare workers, first responders and other “hometown heroes” serving their communities during challenging times.
Certified Auto Repair, located at 393 Marsh St. in San Luis Obispo, is giving away free oil changes as part of its Hometown Heroes Community Car Care program to “help people go above and beyond to provide our community much-needed services in this time of need.”
Owner Isaac Feldman said that he has provided hundreds of free oil changes in recent weeks to “anyone … who selflessly serves the SLO community” amid the coronavirus pandemic and devastating wildfires around the state.
“We’re asking for the community for help by nominating people you think deserve a free oil change,” Feldman said. “This could be any hero that you can think of, anyone from a nurse to a doctor to a teacher that’s been amazing through this, or a local business who has been a big support to their employees in this community.”
If you know of someone who deserves a free oil change, email Feldman at [email protected] with their contact information or tag the person on Certified Auto Repair’s Instagram, Facebook or Twitter feeds with the hashtag #HometownHeroes.
