“People’s reaction is what gave me self-confidence and support, of course. Some people are surprised and impressed. Others don’t believe it until they see it, and some are still incredulous.”

Aziz is also pursuing other passions

He holds a diploma in music

plays in a band

and teaches Islamic studies to people with disabilities

“My ambition, first of all, is to bring progress for disabled people in Iraq. That’s the first. And secondly, to provide a safe home for myself and my children.”
