Landers Auto Group announced Tuesday the acquisition of two car dealerships in Covington — King Cotton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and King Cotton Ford.
King Cotton Ford, 965 U.S. 51 North, will be renamed Landers Ford North. This will be the third Landers Ford dealership in the region, according to a news release. The original Landers Ford has operated in Memphis since 1983 and is regularly the No. 1 volume Ford dealership in the Mid-South.

King Cotton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 959 U.S. 51 North, will be renamed Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep.
“We are excited to begin serving the Covington community with the same quality of service that our existing buyers in the Mid-South love,” said Jeff Field, chief operating officer of the Landers Auto Group. “We have a long history of making car buying and service easy for the customer, and we look forward to having an immediate impact on the customer experience in these new stores.”
Landers Auto Group currently operates dealerships in Memphis, Collierville, Southaven and Jackson, Mississippi.
