Firm leads in luxury estate sales, per MLS

Allie Beth Allman & Associates continues to lead in selling Dallas County luxury estates priced at $3 million and above, according to MLS statistics.

During the COVID-19 crisis, when buyers are looking for more comfortable shelter and world-class amenities, estates have been in greater demand.

In the category of estates priced at $3 million and up, the Allman firm held 25% of the market, listing or selling 36 estates, valued at a total of $171 million. For estates priced at $4 million and up, the firm had 30% of the market, listing or selling 21 estates valued at a total of $122 million.

And for estates priced at $5 million and up, Allman dominated the market with 32.5% of all estates sold. The firm listed or brought the buyer for 14 estates valued at a total of $92 million.

Here are three estates that sold in 2020.

The five-bedroom home at 3601 Lexington Ave., situated on a half-acre corner lot in Old Highland Park, was sold by Blake Eltis and Aaron Carroll. It features indoor and outdoor living with a Santa Barbara charm, said Eltis.

The open kitchen has two islands, built-in appliances and exposed beams. The primary suite includes a sitting room, dual bathrooms with heated flooring and walk-in closets. Amenities include a temperature-controlled wine cellar that holds more than a thousand bottles, a covered porch and a pool and spa.

Evoking the allure of provincial France, the four-bedroom residence at 4241 Lorraine Ave. in Highland Park has a slate roof, and is surrounded by mature trees and landscaping. Sold by Erin Mathews, this two-story home blends six stone fireplaces, Parisian-style chandeliers, reclaimed wood flooring and white oak beams with 21st-century luxuries.

The home also has an elevator, a state-of-the-art kitchen and a three-car garage. All the bedrooms and guest quarters are on the second floor. The courtyard includes a fountain-fed pool.

In the gated Los Arboles community in Preston Hollow, the three-bedroom European villa at 15 Robledo Drive was sold by Allie Beth Allman. The home features a limestone exterior and an interior with imported reclaimed oak flooring and 100-year-old wood beam ceilings. Every room was designed to create a different focal point and experience.

Several terraces overlook the landscaped backyard, which offers a putting green, a heated pool and spa, a water feature and a cabana with a pool bathroom. A fourth bedroom and bathroom could be built out under the existing roof.
